Who Are We?

New Zealand Painful Bladder Support Group (NZPBSG) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Christchurch, and has membership throughout New Zealand. The group began in 1995, and has grown to over 200 members nationwide.
NZPBSG is co-ordinated by Dot Milne R.N. Post-grad. Dipl. Health Sciences, a registered nurse with specialist interest and extensive experience in PBS and the management of chronic pain. Dot was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1999 to study PBS in Boston with a specialising urologist, and now presents at conferences and seminars throughout the country. Using a combination of straight talk, humour, and sensitivity, Dot connects with clients and health professionals to deliver robust, reliable, and up-to-date information about PBS.

"The pain was worse and I was in a very dark place. At that stage I was put in touch with Dot Milne who had started up the Support Group which was a lifesaver. With her expertise, support, and newsletters, life is again worth living." - NZPBSG member, Tauranga.
